What polished concrete is, and how it differs from a coating
Polishing works the concrete itself. Using progressively finer diamond tooling, we grind the surface, treat it with a hardening densifier, and refine it up to the level of shine you want, from a soft matte to a high gloss. A coating, by contrast, is a separate system (such as epoxy or polyaspartic) bonded on top of the concrete. Both make for excellent floors, and we install both, but they suit different goals.
